Shift Type: 8 and 12-hour day/evening shifts, typically 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM or 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM; midshift Monday-Thursday 10:30 AM - 9:00 PM, plus call

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and maintain a sterile field for a variety of surgical cases
• Assist surgeons during neurosurgery, orthopedic, robotic, and general procedures
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies efficiently
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment including Da Vinci robots, stealth navigation, O-arm, and holmium lasers
• Handle specimens and ensure accurate labeling and documentation
• Support patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgical procedures

Qualifications

• Active BLS (AHA) certification required
• 2+ years of experience as a Surgical Tech in an operating room
• Must have neuro and ortho experience - these are a significant number of cases
• Robotic surgery experience (Da Vinci) required
• CST certification preferred, not required
• Valid driver's license required at submittal
• Comfortable working in a Level I Trauma center with a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Experience with ortho, neuro, GYN, ENT, eye, plastics, and thoracic procedures
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system
• Ability to scrub complex cases including ORIFs, craniotomies, and robotic-assisted surgeries
• Knowledge of emergency procedures and trauma surgery protocols
