Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and develop dental X-rays and digital scans
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain accurate patient records using Denticon software
• Support the dental team with chairside assistance and patient flow

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• State radiography/X-ray certification where applicable
• Experience as an orthodontic dental assistant preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
• Proficiency with dental software, including Denticon
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Patient-focused with a compassionate attitude
