Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate during a wide variety of cardiac, interventional radiology, vascular, structural heart, and electrophysiology procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Administer medications and sedation as ordered while closely monitoring patient hemodynamics throughout each case
• Monitor or scrub cases as trained, assisting with advanced equipment such as Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump, laser atherectomy, and rotablator
• Collaborate with interventional cardiologists, radiologists, and a dedicated Cath Lab team to deliver seamless, high-quality care
• Respond to call emergencies within 30 minutes, providing life-saving care during off-hours

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• At least 1 year of RN experience; 2-3 years in IR, Cath Lab, or vascular/structural heart setting strongly preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR and Merge hemodynamic charting is a plus
• Ability to circulate cases and administer sedation; training to monitor or scrub is available

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of cardiac and interventional radiology procedures
• Familiarity with advanced hemodynamic monitoring and equipment such as Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump, rotablator, and FFR/IVUS
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR and Merge hemodynamic charting systems
• Excellent critical thinking and patient assessment skills during high-acuity procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Comfortable with call responsibilities and a variety of case types
