Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to design individualized occupational therapy programs.
• Create and implement therapeutic interventions that help patients improve daily living and work-related skills.
• Collaborate with nursing and rehabilitation teams to coordinate care and adjust treatment plans as patients progress.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, adaptive equipment, and safety strategies.
• Maintain thorough clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Occupational Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one before starting
• Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or acute care is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice
• Knowledge of rehabilitative equipment and adaptive technology
• Ability to develop rapport with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with electronic health records
