Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and remove plaque and calculus to keep patients' smiles healthy
- Take and develop dental X-rays to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to protect teeth from decay
- Document patient care and keep dental records up to date
- Sterilize instruments and prepare treatment rooms to maintain a safe, welcoming environment
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide compassionate, patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin Dental Hygienist license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy dental practice
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
- Skill in taking and interpreting dental X-rays
- Familiarity with dental practice software and patient records
- Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
- Strong patient education and communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with dentists and dental assistants
