Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 7 on/7 off (Thursday-Wednesday), approximately 5:00 PM - 6:00 AM, plus required call rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality CT scans with and without contrast for emergency and inpatient patients
  • Start IVs and administer contrast agents safely, monitoring patients throughout their exam
  • Operate GE 16-slice and 64-slice scanners while managing images in Meditech and Fuji PACS
  • Collaborate with radiologists and emergency department teams to deliver timely imaging in a Level 3 trauma center
  • Float between Bryan and College Station campuses, about 16 minutes apart, as patient volumes require
  • Precept new team members as needed and share your expertise in CT technology
  • Respond to on-call situations within 30 minutes during your call rotation, providing backup coverage for the department

Qualifications

  • Current BLS certification (required)
  • ARRT certification in CT (ARRT (CT)) - required
  • Active Texas MRT license - required
  • At least 2 years of CT experience, ideally in ER and inpatient settings
  • Comfort starting IVs and administering contrast
  • Experience with Meditech EMR, Fuji PACS, and GE scanners
  • Ability to float between campuses and be part of a call rotation
  • Previous precepting experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

  • Solid knowledge of CT protocols, radiation safety, and contrast administration
  • Skilled in IV insertion and patient monitoring during scans
  • Comfortable working independently on night shift with virtual radiology support
  • Familiar with emergency room and inpatient imaging workflows
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Adaptable and ready to jump in where needed
