Candidate Pay Rate: $35 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during patient exams, adjustments, and procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments are sterilized and ready
- Take and develop dental X-rays and intraoral scans
- Create impressions and digital scans for accurate treatment planning
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and care for braces or aligners
- Maintain accurate patient records and update charts using Denticon
- Welcome patients warmly and help them feel comfortable in the chair
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or state-approved dental assistant certification
- Current Radiology/X-ray certification in Maryland
- Experience with orthodontic procedures is a big plus
- Proficiency with dental software, preferably Denticon
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Current CPR/BLS certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and sterilization techniques
- Understanding of dental anatomy and terminology
- Ability to take high-quality dental impressions and X-rays
- Familiarity with orthodontic appliances (braces, retainers, aligners)
- Excellent multitasking and time management abilities
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
