Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate dental hygiene care to patients
• Perform dental cleanings and scaling with precision and care
• Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices for long-term health
• Collaborate closely with a dental assistant to ensure smooth, efficient visits
• Maintain a comfortable, welcoming environment for every patient
• Focus on preventive care while other team members handle X-rays and exams

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in New Jersey
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Experience with dental cleanings and patient care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental practice
• Commitment to maintaining infection control standards

Knowledge & Skills

• Dental prophylaxis and scaling techniques
• Patient education and oral hygiene counseling
• Infection control and sterilization protocols
• Team collaboration with dental assistants and office staff
• Time management to keep appointments on schedule
• Empathetic chairside manner
