Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to geriatric patients, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Assist with mobility, transferring, and positioning to ensure patient safety and comfort
• Support patients with meals and hydration, ensuring dietary needs are met
• Engage patients in social activities and provide emotional support
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality care

Qualifications

• Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
• Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred)
• COVID-19 vaccination or documented religious/medical exemption
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to caring for seniors
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively
• Must bring state/federal ID and wear photo badge at all times

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of patient care techniques and safety protocols
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible, per-diem shifts
• Record keeping and observation skills
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality
