Licensed Practical Nurse - Long Term Care
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Start Date: 08-14-2026
End Date: 10-09-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Sunday, Friday, Saturday, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (12.5-hour day shift)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $28 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
- Administer medications, treatments, and injections as prescribed, with meticulous documentation
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition, reporting changes promptly
- Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medication regimens, and self-care strategies
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that promotes dignity and well-being
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico or a compact state
- Current BLS certification required
- COVID-19 vaccination or documented medical/religious exemption
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation preferred
- Ability to pass background checks and facility credentialing requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions
- Proficient with electronic health records (EHR) and medication administration
- Capable of working 12-hour shifts, including weekends, in a fast-paced environment
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
