Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem overnight shift, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (30-minute meal break)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $32 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing setting
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time
  • Monitor residents' vital signs and overall condition, responding promptly to changes
  • Document care provided and communicate effectively with the care team
  • Support residents' comfort and dignity while promoting independence

Qualifications

  • Valid LPN or RN license in Maine (or compact state where applicable)
  • Completion of COVID-19 vaccination series or an approved medical/religious exemption
  • Current BLS/CPR certification (recommended, check facility requirements)
  • Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
  • Must provide state or federal identification and wear a photo badge at all times

Knowledge & Skills

  • Clinical nursing skills including medication administration and patient assessment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
  • Ability to document accurately and use electronic health records
  • Teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment
