Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, Day shift
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $116 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide oversight for overall financial performance of assigned departments and set annual budgets
- Coordinate nursing service orientation and mentor new staff through preceptor programs
- Make patient care assignments based on care requirements and staff qualifications
- Revise and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure high standards of care
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to conduct patient care conferences and quality improvement activities
- Manage staffing schedules, approve leave, and ensure adequate coverage
- Oversee supply and equipment ordering for the department
- Step into patient care roles as needed to meet changing department needs
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Active Alaska RN license at time of submittal
- 5 years of professional nursing experience required
- Minimum 2 years as staff RN in chemotherapy/immunotherapy
- At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred
- Current ACLS certification required; PALS and NRP preferred
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of nursing care principles, practices, and patient assessment
- Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong decision-making and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to provide leadership and guidance to staff
- Analytical skills to operate specialized medical equipment
- Capability to research new products and equipment for nursing services
