Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and treatment procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms
• Take and process dental X-rays and digital scans
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care techniques
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
• Deliver compassionate care to help patients feel at ease

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred
• X-ray certification (Radiology Health and Safety) is required
• Experience in orthodontic assisting is highly valued
• Familiarity with dental software such as Denticon is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative dental team environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Skill in taking dental impressions and digital scans
• Proficiency with dental practice management software
• Excellent interpersonal and patient communication skills
• Attention to detail and strict adherence to infection control standards
