Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for orthodontic procedures and appointments
• Assist the orthodontist with exams, adjustments, and appliance placements
• Take dental X-rays, impressions, and photographs as needed
• Educate patients and families on proper oral hygiene and brace care
• Sterilize and maintain instruments and treatment rooms
• Support a smooth patient flow and a positive clinical experience

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or ability to obtain certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in orthodontics is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a caring chairside manner
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and materials
• Skill in taking dental impressions, X-rays, and intraoral scans
• Understanding of sterilization and infection control protocols
• Strong patient interaction and education skills
• Teamwork and adaptability in a busy dental practice
