Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide gentle, compassionate dental hygiene care to pediatric patients in a welcoming office environment
• Perform dental cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealant applications with a focus on comfort and safety
• Take digital dental x-rays and ensure proper imaging for accurate diagnosis
• Educate children and their families on oral hygiene best practices and preventive care
• Assist the dentist during exams and procedures, maintaining a smooth patient flow
• Document treatment plans and patient histories accurately in the dental software

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Maryland
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Experience working with pediatric patients is strongly preferred
• Excellent communication skills and a warm, patient-centered approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and infection control standards
• Proficiency with digital radiography and dental practice management software
• Ability to build trust and rapport with children and anxious patients
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
• Team player who thrives in a collaborative dental office environment
