Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide gentle, thorough dental cleanings and preventive care to patients of all ages
• Educate patients and families on proper oral hygiene techniques
• Take and process dental X-rays with attention to safety
• Assist the dentist during pediatric procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
• Prepare and sterilize instruments following infection control standards

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Maryland
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
• Strong communication and patient-education skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in oral health assessment and patient care
• Knowledge of dental radiography and digital imaging
• Proficiency in infection control and sterilization protocols
• Experience with electronic dental health records
• Compassionate approach to working with children
