Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and ventilator settings
- Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to develop and adjust care plans
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record promptly
- Educate patients and families about conditions, procedures, and post‑ICU care
Qualifications
- Current California RN license in good standing
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking and rapid decision‑making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced knowledge of cardiac, pulmonary, and neurocritical care
- Proficiency with ventilators, infusion pumps, and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
- Ability to prioritize multiple high‑acuity tasks simultaneously
- Familiarity with hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols
