Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily living assistance to geriatric residents
• Support residents with mobility, hygiene, and personal care needs
• Observe and report changes in residents' health and wellbeing to nursing staff
• Promote a safe, comfortable, and dignified environment for every resident
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality, person-centered care
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility protocols

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Must bring a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at all times
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved religious/medical exemption required
• Ability to pass background checks and facility onboarding requirements
• A compassionate, patient-focused attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic geriatric care and safety practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail in documenting care and observations
• Physical stamina to assist with lifting, transferring, and standing for extended periods
