Geriatric Nursing Assistant
Location: Brooklyn Park, Maryland
Start Date: 08-24-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Monday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift, 30-minute meal break)
Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily living assistance to geriatric residents
- Support residents with mobility, hygiene, and personal care needs
- Observe and report changes in residents' health and wellbeing to nursing staff
- Promote a safe, comfortable, and dignified environment for every resident
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality, person-centered care
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility protocols
Qualifications
- Active Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Must bring a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at all times
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved religious/medical exemption required
- Ability to pass background checks and facility onboarding requirements
- A compassionate, patient-focused attitude
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic geriatric care and safety practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail in documenting care and observations
- Physical stamina to assist with lifting, transferring, and standing for extended periods
