Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the endodontist during root canal procedures by preparing the operatory and passing instruments
• Take and process dental X-rays to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
• Provide excellent patient care and comfort before, during, and after endodontic treatment
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control standards
• Document patient treatment information and update dental records accurately
• Educate patients on post-procedure care and answer any questions they may have

Qualifications

• Current dental assistant certification or registration as required by Maryland state regulations
• Previous experience in endodontics is a plus, but we welcome skilled dental assistants ready to learn
• Valid CPR/BLS certification
• Strong commitment to patient safety and infection control
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques
• Understanding of dental radiography safety and positioning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and the dental team
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
• Comfortable with electronic dental records and scheduling software
