Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough dental cleanings and preventive care to patients of all ages
• Perform periodontal assessments and document patient medical histories
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and at-home care
• Take and process digital dental x-rays with accuracy
• Administer local anesthesia and apply fluoride treatments as needed
• Partner with dentists to develop personalized treatment plans

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygiene license in good standing
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first approach
• Experience in a clinical setting is a plus but new grads encouraged to apply

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and sterilization protocols
• Experience with dental practice management software and digital radiography
• Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
• Commitment to infection control and safety standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
