Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional dental hygiene care, including cleanings, scaling, and polishing, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Take and develop dental x-rays, ensuring accurate diagnostic images for the dentist
• Educate patients on oral health best practices and preventive care techniques
• Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile, organized operatory
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in electronic health records

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Radiology certification (x-ray license) in Virginia
• Experience in a dental clinic setting preferred
• Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Proficiency in dental software and electronic health records
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Ability to work collaboratively with dentists and staff
