Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during periodontal procedures with precision and a friendly touch
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, ensuring a spotless and safe treatment environment
• Take and develop digital X-rays, capturing clear images for accurate diagnosis
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-procedure care in a warm, reassuring way
• Maintain detailed patient records and manage documentation efficiently
• Partner with the dental team to deliver outstanding patient experiences every day

Qualifications

• Maryland Dental Assistant certification or eligibility required
• Prior dental assisting experience, preferably in periodontics
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Great communication skills and a compassionate chairside manner
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with dental software and digital X-ray systems
• Knowledge of periodontal instruments and procedures
• Excellent patient interaction and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Flexible and adaptable to varying daily tasks and schedules
