Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during exams and procedures, ensuring patient comfort
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and develop dental X-rays and impressions
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and treatment plans
• Manage patient records and schedule follow-up appointments
• Support the team in delivering top-notch orthodontic care

Qualifications

• Fully knowledgeable in orthodontics including braces and Invisalign
• Active Dental Assistant certification or licensure as required by VA
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Orthodontic procedures and equipment
• Sterilization and infection control protocols
• Patient education and chairside assistance
• Familiarity with dental software and record keeping
