Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide medical, pre-operative and post-operative surgical care to medium to high acuity cardiovascular patients.
• Monitor and manage patients with cardiac diagnoses, post-surgical needs, and complex co-morbidities.
• Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio not exceeding 1:4.
• Float to Med/Surg or other units as needed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure stable patient outcomes and early detection of instability.

Qualifications

• Current California RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• EPIC charting experience
• Minimum 2 years of Critical Care experience
• Successful completion of prior traveler assignments

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical Care nursing skills
• Cardiovascular patient assessment and intervention
• Telemetry and arrhythmia detection
• Post-operative cardiac surgery care
• Ability to float and adapt to different units
