Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the endodontic dentist during procedures, ensuring the treatment room is fully prepared
• Sterilize and organize dental instruments, maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Capture and mount dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist
• Support patient comfort and answer any questions before and during treatment
• Document patient care and maintain accurate dental records
• Prepare and mix endodontic materials, such as sealers and medicaments

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Dental Assistant license or certification
• Radiography/X-ray certification, as required in Maryland
• Previous experience as a dental assistant, with endodontic experience a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to commute to Abingdon, MD for this assignment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of dental instruments and sterilization protocols
• Familiarity with endodontic tools, materials, and procedures
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient interaction
• Detail-oriented with a focus on infection control
