Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming)
• Support safe mobility and transfers, ensuring resident comfort and dignity
• Assist with meals and hydration, observing and reporting intake concerns
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Document care and observations clearly in resident records
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Communicate respectfully and effectively with residents, families, and the care team
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused culture that enhances resident quality of life

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (or eligible) — Pennsylvania certification preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
• Demonstrated compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and safe patient handling
• Familiarity with basic vital sign measurement and documentation
• Understanding of infection control protocols and resident safety principles
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a care team
• Basic charting and observational reporting skills
