Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes promptly
• Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics
• Document care provided in resident charts and report concerns to nursing staff
• Participate as a collaborative team member to promote a positive care environment
• Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies at all times

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or required depending on facility
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centered care and communicate effectively
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively in a healthcare team

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care and assisting with activities of daily living
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and observing clinical changes
• Familiarity with basic charting and documentation practices
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with patients and families
• Ability to follow care plans, safety procedures, and infection control standards
