Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care to residents and support their dignity
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and feeding
Take and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nursing team
Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
Maintain clear, accurate documentation and communicate effectively with team members
Follow infection control practices and uphold patient safety standards
Participate in team huddles and care planning to improve resident outcomes

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania required
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to pass background check and drug screen
Comfortable with physical aspects of the role, including lifting and assisting patients
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered attitude
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification if required by facility

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid CNA certification in Pennsylvania

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident-centered care
Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Basic documentation and charting skills
Teamwork and clear communication with interdisciplinary staff
Comfort with mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques
