Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing and toileting assistance
Support activities of daily living (ADLs) with dignity and respect
Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
Help create a warm, home-like environment that promotes resident well-being
Document care accurately and communicate clearly during shift handoffs

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential – required
Valid state authorization to practice as a CNA (Pennsylvania credential preferred)
Comfortable working directly with residents and performing hands-on care
Background check and immunizations as required by facility policy
Preferred: Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient-centered care and interpersonal skills
Ability to perform ADLs and basic clinical observations
Good communication and teamwork in fast-paced settings
Attention to detail for documentation and safety
Compassion, patience, and a positive attitude with residents and families
