Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 8-hour shift; exact start/end times and scheduled days to be confirmed with the hiring team (schedule TBD)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $30 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
Assist patients with bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
Take and accurately record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
Document care and patient interactions clearly in the medical record
Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics
Maintain infection control practices and ensure a clean, safe environment
Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Qualifications

Current CNA certification valid in Pennsylvania
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or required per facility
Ability to pass background check and drug screen
Reliable transportation to the facility in Orwigsburg, PA
Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient care

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of ADLs, patient hygiene and mobility assistance
Familiarity with infection control standards and basic safety protocols
Basic charting skills and comfort learning electronic medical records
Good communication, teamwork, and time management
Ability to follow care plans and report clinical changes promptly
