Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct resident care and assist with activities of daily living
Support nursing staff by taking vital signs, documenting observations, and reporting changes
Help maintain a safe, clean environment for residents and follow infection-control procedures
Assist with mobility and transfers, using safe patient handling techniques
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication
Participate in team huddles and handoffs to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings preferred but not required
Current basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
Strong communication skills, reliability, and a compassionate attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care procedures
Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
Ability to document care accurately and follow care plans
Comfortable working as part of an interdisciplinary team
Basic observational skills to notice and report resident changes
