Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nurse in charge
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Maintain a clean, comfortable environment for patients and follow infection control protocols
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Document patient care activities thoroughly and follow care plans to support positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing (required)
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• State of Pennsylvania required background checks and clearances (as applicable)
• Strong interpersonal skills and a caring bedside manner
• Ability to lift/assist patients per facility policy and perform physically active duties
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and patient safety practices
• Ability to take and record vital signs confidently
• Familiarity with infection control standards and PPE use
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic mobility support
• Good documentation skills and basic computer/EMR familiarity
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a clinical setting
