Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist nursing staff with vital signs, patient observations, and routine monitoring
Support safe patient transfers and mobility, encouraging independence whenever possible
Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control practices
Respond professionally to patient needs and escalate changes in condition to nursing staff

Qualifications

Active CNA certification/license in Pennsylvania (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
Demonstrated compassion, reliability, and strong teamwork skills
Background check and current immunizations as required by facility
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but new grads welcome

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care and ADL assistance skills
Basic vital signs and charting knowledge
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow care plans and directions from nursing staff
Comfortable with mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques
Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
