Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Support mobility and safe transfers to reduce fall risk and promote independence
Accurately document care and observations to keep the care team informed
Communicate clearly and courteously with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect residents and staff
Participate in unit huddles and training to contribute to continuous improvement

Qualifications

Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Active CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfortable providing direct patient care with compassion and professionalism
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
Ability to pass facility background checks and required screenings

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in assisting with ADLs and basic resident care
Good observational skills and attention to detail for reporting changes
Basic charting and documentation abilities; comfort with electronic or paper records
Time management and prioritization to handle shift responsibilities
Awareness of infection control, safety procedures, and resident rights
