Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
Perform patient hygiene, toileting, dressing, and mobility assistance safely and respectfully
Observe and report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff promptly
Help with meal assistance and documenting intake as directed
Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
Contribute to a warm, respectful environment that promotes dignity and independence

Qualifications

Current, active CNA certification (state-approved) — required
Comfortable providing direct patient care and working as part of a care team
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
Reliable, punctual, and committed to resident-centered care
Previous long-term care or nursing home experience is a strong plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a state-approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and infection control practices
Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
Strong communication and teamwork skills with residents, families, and staff
Basic charting and documentation skills, following facility protocols
Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
