Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility support while following proper techniques
Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team and families
Support residents' emotional needs by listening, engaging, and promoting dignity

Qualifications

Current CNA certification valid in Connecticut
Completion of an accredited CNA training program
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Able to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
Strong communication skills and a caring attitude toward residents
Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in basic patient care and personal hygiene assistance
Knowledge of infection control and proper PPE usage
Ability to measure and document vital signs accurately
Familiarity with safe transfer and lifting techniques
Comfortable with basic charting and following care plans
Compassion, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
