Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents with dignity and respect
Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to the nursing team
Support safe and comfortable environments by following infection control and safety protocols
Document care accurately and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team
Build trusting relationships with residents and families to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

Current CNA certification valid in Connecticut
Completed an accredited CNA training program
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
Compassionate demeanor, strong communication skills, and teamwork mindset
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but not required

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited CNA program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with activities of daily living (ADL) support
Basic patient observation and vital signs monitoring
Knowledge of infection control and safe resident handling
Good documentation and communication skills
Ability to follow care plans and directions from licensed nurses
