Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate daily care to residents, assisting with hygiene, mobility, and feeding
Take and record vital signs and observe changes in resident condition
Document care accurately and timely in resident charts or electronic records
Assist with safe transfers, positioning, and fall prevention strategies
Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and the care team to support resident-centered care
Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification (active) in Connecticut or eligibility to be certified
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
CPR/BLS certification (current) or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass required background checks, TB screening, and health screenings
Dependable, compassionate, and a team player with strong communication skills

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs) and assistance techniques
Ability to take and interpret basic vital signs
Infection control practices and safe patient handling
Comfortable with electronic or paper documentation of care
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a care team
