Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and support to residents
Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
Support mobility and transfers safely, using proper body mechanics
Help create a warm, respectful environment that promotes dignity
Communicate observations and resident needs to the nursing team
Follow infection control practices and facility procedures consistently
Document care clearly and timely to keep the care team aligned

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification in Connecticut (state-required)
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by facility
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Reliable, punctual, and committed to resident-centered care

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic patient care and activities of daily living
Competence with taking and recording vital signs
Familiarity with infection prevention and safety protocols
Basic charting and documentation skills
Strong interpersonal and observation skills
Ability to work well within an interdisciplinary care team
