Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
Take and document vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
Assist nursing staff with patient transfers, mobility, and safe positioning
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
Build rapport with residents and families, offering respectful and person-centered care
Support care plans by documenting observations and communicating with the care team

Qualifications

Current and valid CNA certification (state of Connecticut) required
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or must obtain upon hire
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings (TB, immunizations)
Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care
Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned shifts

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in activities of daily living (ADLs) and patient hygiene assistance
Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and basic clinical observations
Knowledge of infection control practices and resident safety
Good documentation skills and ability to follow care plans
Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and patience
