Shift Type: 8-hour shifts; specific start/end times and days to be confirmed with the facility (schedule provided at time of assignment)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct resident care including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility support
Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly
Communicate changes in resident condition to nursing staff in a timely manner
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized care environment
Document care and observations clearly in resident records
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plans
Treat residents and families with dignity, respect, and empathy

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (active and in good standing)
State-specific certification preferred (CT credentials encouraged)
Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification recommended or facility-required
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and assist with transfers
Reliable, punctual, and committed to resident-centered care
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident care best practices
Familiarity with infection control and basic hygiene protocols
Basic clinical skills: vital signs, skin checks, and mobility assistance
Accurate documentation and charting skills
Ability to follow care plans and report changes effectively
Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
