Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Provide compassionate personal care including feeding and mobility assistance
Take and record vital signs and report any changes in condition promptly
Maintain accurate documentation of care and resident observations
Support safe transfers and positioning to prevent injury
Communicate effectively with nursing staff, residents, and families to ensure coordinated care
Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (Connecticut certification preferred)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background checks and required pre-employment screenings
Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Reliable attendance and the ability to work the assigned shift schedule

Education

High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of basic nursing care and resident assistance
Ability to perform safe transfers and use proper body mechanics
Familiarity with charting and documentation best practices
Knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures
Good communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail and ability to follow care plans
