Candidate Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility needs
Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
Perform routine tasks such as turning, repositioning and safe transfers
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and vital signs
Support a warm, respectful environment that promotes resident dignity
Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized care plans

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Connecticut
Completion of an approved CNA training program
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility immunization requirements
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality resident care

Education

High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a state-approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
Basic patient care skills including ADLs, transfers, and vital sign measurement
Familiarity with electronic and/or paper charting and documentation
Good interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
Ability to follow care plans and nursing direction accurately
