Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and proper use of assistive devices
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and resident interactions
Support a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Work collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — Connecticut certification preferred
Comfortable working 8-hour per-diem shifts and adapting to varied schedules
Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care
Basic competency in resident safety, infection control, and documentation
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; successful completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of activities of daily living assistance and resident care basics
Ability to follow care plans and report changes accurately
Skillful in safe resident handling and mobility assistance
Familiarity with infection control practices and basic charting
Team player mindset with good interpersonal skills
