Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
Take and record vital signs, monitor changes, and report concerns promptly to nursing staff
Support patients with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
Maintain accurate, timely documentation to ensure continuity of care
Collaborate with the care team to create a warm, safe, and respectful environment
Assist with feeding and hydration, and observe for changes in intake or condition
Follow infection control policies and facility procedures to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

Active CNA certification/license (required) — state-specific validity expected
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfort with direct patient care and physical tasks associated with the role
Clear background check and ability to meet facility immunization/TB screening requirements
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic patient care and ADLs
Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient handling
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members
Dependable time management and documentation habits
