Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care to acute patients, focusing on comfort and dignity
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition promptly
Support nursing staff with patient transfers, positioning, and safe handling
Maintain accurate patient care documentation and adhere to facility protocols
Follow infection control and safety procedures to protect patients and team members

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in good standing
Experience or demonstrated competency in acute care settings preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Physical stamina for 12.5-hour shifts and safe patient handling

Education

CNA certification and high school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in basic patient care and ADL assistance
Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs
Familiarity with infection control practices and facility safety protocols
Comfortable with electronic and paper charting systems
Effective interpersonal skills for patient and family interactions
Team-oriented mindset and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced acute setting
