Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care in an acute care setting
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers and ambulation while using proper body mechanics
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of patient care and observations
• Collaborate with nurses and multidisciplinary team members to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Adhere to infection control policies and maintain a safe care environment

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Experience or training in acute care environments preferred
• Ability to pass required facility background and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Reliable, professional, and patient-focused with good attention to detail

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Knowledge of vital sign measurement and basic clinical observations
• Familiarity with acute care workflows and unit routines
• Understanding of infection prevention and standard precautions
• Comfortable with electronic charting and documentation
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and staff
