Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, report changes in condition to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe patient transfers, mobility, and positioning to maintain comfort and prevent injury
• Support wound care, hygiene, and meal assistance while following care plans
• Document care accurately and communicate clearly with nurses and interdisciplinary team members
• Follow infection control protocols and contribute to a clean, safe patient environment
• Build rapport with patients and families, offering reassurance and respectful support

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required) — Hawaii certification preferred
• CPR/BLS certification (current) preferred or required per facility policy
• Acute care experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome
• Ability to pass required background checks, drug screens, and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Reliable attendance and ability to work 12.5-hour shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable with vital signs assessment and basic clinical observations
• Familiarity with acute care workflows and infection prevention practices
• Basic EMR/documentation experience or willingness to learn quickly
• Strong time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective teamwork skills
