Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care in an acute care setting — help patients with activities of daily living, mobility, and comfort
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition by taking vital signs and communicating observations to the nursing team
• Assist with safe patient transfers and positioning, following facility protocols for safety
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient record to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans
• Respond professionally and calmly during urgent situations, supporting the team as needed
• Contribute to a positive patient experience through respectful communication and attention to patient needs

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (required) — ready to provide competent bedside care
• Experience or comfort working in acute care settings (preferred)
• Valid CPR/BLS certification (preferred or able to obtain)
• Ability to pass required background checks and facility onboarding
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• CNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and activities of daily living assistance
• Vital signs monitoring and recognizing changes in patient condition
• Infection control best practices and safe patient handling
• Basic electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Effective teamwork, communication, and compassionate patient interaction
