Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Travel
Location: Freeport, Maine
Start Date: 08-05-2026
End Date: 11-04-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (day shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $36 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement therapeutic interventions based on each patient's individualized OT plan of care
- Document patient progress accurately and timely to keep the care team informed
- Empower patients and families with education that supports independence and confidence
- Keep the supervising occupational therapist in the loop on patient status and changes
- Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols to provide high-quality care
Qualifications
- You have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- You hold an active state COTA license, or are ready to obtain one
- You thrive in a team and genuinely enjoy working with patients
- You are committed to safety, documentation, and professional care
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Occupational therapy interventions and adaptive techniques
- Patient education and family support strategies
- Clinical documentation and progress notes
- Clear communication and teamwork
- Infection control and safety protocols
